emma rea::

I accidently stumbled across Emma Rea's now abandoned blog, I got sucked in by her last post, which detailed her future plans of fashion designing full time and her reasons for coming to the conclusion that she should stop blogging (to concentrate on her label). The whole story interested me so I searched her name because I wanted to see if she had managed to make her mark on the fashion world...and she has.
I have to say I love the gothic glamour vibe I get from her pieces, aptly named 'House of the Holy' they are very individual peices but also feminine and sexy with an edge. Check out her site http://www.emmarea.com/aw09.html I hope to be seeing more of this Australian lady.
FUGAHUM::
Fugahum is a Japanese brand that I came across a while ago. I particularly like the chosen names for the collections; Doppelganger, Graduated Kingdom, Spiral Distortion and Soft Protector. They evoke visions of fantastical far away fairytales (excuse the alliteration!) which is also portayed through the fashion photography. I love that it's not just the photography and clothing that makes the image interesting either, the composition is extremely well thought out and designed. This is my latest inspiration destination, see what you think...
Matthew does menswear...

Matthew Williamson's first menswear collection for H&M also marks H&M's first ever collaboration to produce a menswear collection. Released on 14th May and inspired by Williamson's own wardrobe, the pieces are quite eclectic and have a strong sense of individual style. Williamson said: “I have aimed to incorporate a styling juxtaposition where global inspiration is fused with quintessential English style.”
He also apparently said that if the H&M men’s range proves to be successful, he will consider adding menswear to his mainline.
However cool and kooky Matthew Williamson and co might look in bright cerise jeans, I doubt the general male population will think the same way, or maybe I'm in for a surprise...

Everybody Loves Lanvin...
I love lanvins bright volumous s/s 09 collection it just screams SUMMER and those fully saturated colours hit my spot. Big puffy shoulders make dressing up that little bit more exciting and demanding.
