Love the hand crafted edge of this vm.

Alexa does DKNY::

Photobucket

Alexa Chung has gone back to her modelling roots after being signed as the new face of DKNY. She replaces Daisy Lowe starring in the new season campaign shot on the streets of New York, looking much edgier than her usual vintage style in a belted jacket and leather trousers. She carries the look well but I'm not ready to be thinking of my A/W wardrobe yet!

New Look first ever TV ad::

New Looks first ever TV ad isn't bad except I'm not sure I'm keen on the mix of monochrome at the start and bright colours to finish, it sort of doesn't match the brand image and seems a little bit contradictory to each other, but I guess it's one way of attracting attention they might not otherwisw have got if the ad started out being bright and happy etc...? What does everyone else think?

*McCartney Magic*

Photobucket

Lately I've been probing the net for inspiration for my uni photography brief and this image of a Stella McCartney ad campaign popped up. After numerous lectures recently on compositional styles I thought this technique of combining collage/illustration/photography looks really eye catching and effective which is more than the average product selling ad. I particularly liked the subtle way of presenting three separate photographs into one, without the page looking too busy and cluttered.
